Let me introduce myself. My name is Phyllis Reeves and my husband, Ken and I bought the shop 12 years ago. We grew up in the Dayton area and after graduating from Va. Tech we eventually settled back in the area. I have a background in clothing and textiles and have spent a lifetime sewing, first for myself and then for my daughters. Besides running a quilt shop, our primary focus is our family. We have three daughters and spend a lot of time running to ball games and track meets. Elizabeth is a junior at Virginia Tech. Amanda is a freshman at James Madison University. Heather is a senior in high school and runs hurdles and enjoys working in the local flower shop. All 3 of the girls work in the shop on occasion and Elizabeth has developed her own “sewing habit.”
About 5 years ago we completely remodeled the store. We removed all of the tall fixtures and brought in shelving and wooden teepees to hold the fabric. We carpeted the store and lined the walls with slat wall to display all of our samples. The store is much lighter and you can see all of the fabric from any point in the store. We work hard to provide our customers with the best in service, product, and most importantly, friendship.
