Join us for this beautiful Block of the Month featuring female spies from World War 1 and 2. On the first Tuesday of each month, we will learn about a spy and create a block. We will have open sewing after the class. In a time crunch? You can just drop by and pick up your block each month.

Pumpkin Patch Lane

In 6 short months, you will complete this whimsical Block of the Month. Using piecing, applique, and fabric printed pieces, the blocks will allow you to use several methods. On the last Tuesday of each month, we will have a demo followed by open sewing.


Fabulous Fridays

Fridays September 5th, October 3rd, November 7th and December 5th
Cost: $15

What better way to celebrate the end of a week than sewing all day and into the night? Join us as we sew and chat. Bring your sewing project, a dessert or side dish and any supplies you need, and join us in the classroom for fellowship, fun, and of course….sewing! We will provide the entrée and drinks. The first 6 people to sign up can use the classroom machines, otherwise, you will need to bring your own sewing machine in good working order. Space is limited, so reserve your space early!

Underground Railroad Saturday Sampler

Saturday September 6th
9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.

This class is well under way! Meetings are the first Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. You must attend a meeting and bring your completed block to receive the next month's block free. Miss a meeting or unfinished block and it will cost $5 to rejoin the railroad.

Double Dog Dare

Christmas Club

Quilts of Valor
Tuesdays September 16th, October 21st, and November 18th

Patchwork will host a new gathering of quilters who want to make quilts for Quilts of Valor. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover ALL combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. Sassy Saturdays

Saturdays September 20th, October 11th, and November 8th

We set up the classroom to accommodate a group of 15 sewers, and provide drinks, snacks and the main course for dinner. You bring your projects, your sewing machine (the first 6 people that sign up can use one of our classroom machines) and a side dish for dinner. Then spend the day socializing and finishing up those projects you can never get to at home!

Breakfast Club

Thursdays September 25th, October 23rd, and November 20th

Each month we will offer a breakfast treat and coffee or tea, along with a quilt pattern using 2 ½" pre-cut strips (choose a jelly roll or pick and choose your fabric and cut your own 2 ½" strips). Bring your sewing supplies and machine (6 shop machines are available so be sure to sign up early if you want to use one of ours!) to join the fun.

Long Arm Club

October 11th, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Diane, a Handi-Quilter national teacher, will show us the tricks of using Rulers with the long arm.


This is a tool for your sewing room that you will NEED! With this software based cutter, you can cut everything from paper templates to chipboard patterns and stabilized fabric and EVERYTHING in between: This cutter isn’t solely for the sewing room either, it will bring out the crafter in all of us! You can etch glass, make rhinestone templates, make heat transfers for clothing and much more!

Classes will be broken down into Introduction class for those of you who would like to see some of the things it can do followed by a software class and each month we will have a Silhouette Club where you will learn a new technique and go home with a finished project!

Intro class will be a demo/question answer session. Trish will show you many examples of what the Silhouette can do. She will also answer basic questions about the cutter, compare the difference between the Silhouette and other cutters on the market and make you too fall in love with the Silhouette! The cost of this class is $15. If you sign up to take the software class after taking this intro class, you will get a $5 credit towards the cost of the software class!

Silhouette Software

In this class you will need your Silhouette software installed on your computer and ready to use. The software can be downloaded from the internet free of charge without even buying the cutter. If you don’t have your machine yet, don’t worry! In this class we will go over the features of the software, navigating through it and learning how to purchase designs from the Silhouette library.

Now that you have learned how to use the Silhouette software- you can now put your skills to use as we start our first project! Each month, we will learn a different technique using the cutter and you will leave with a finished project and the knowledge to do it again on your own! Bring your laptop and cutter. Most months a kit will be available for a small fee in addition to class cost. You must have taken the software class to participate in the Project of the Month or have spoken to Trish prior to registration. Classes will be the first Wednesday of the month for evening class and the first Monday of the month for day class.


Embroidery 101

In this class you will learn all about embroidery basics. Just a few of the topics discussed will be stabilizers, hooping, machine formats, choosing the correct thread, learning about designs and how embroidery software can let your creativeness have no limits. Whether you are an experienced embroiderer, a newbies, or just thinking about it, THIS is the class for you!

Mixed Mutts- Applique by your Embroidery Machine

Kitty will show you how to use your Embroidery Machine to applique, creating this wonderful quilt by Lunch Box Quilts. Your Bernina or Janome embroidery machines are used in this fun class.

Once again, Kitty is appliqueing with her embroidery machine! Just sit back and watch the machine create Trout! About Trout uses batiks to create a perfect quilt for the fisherman in your life. Your Bernina or Janome embroidery machines are used in this class.

Outback Panel Quilt

Over Under Christmas Tree Skirt

The Swirly Girls have done it again and Debe is ready to show you how to make your own! This wonderful Tree Skirt uses a 30 degree Triangle Ruler for its fun over under design. You’ll have a new tree skirt before you can sing all the verses of The Little Drummer Boy!

It’s Not Rocket Science: Beginning Quilting

Thursdays Oct. 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th, Nov. 6th and 13th 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

If you have a working sewing machine, we will teach you the rest! If you don’t have a machine, borrow one from a friend and after you make your first quilt, we will give you the cost of the class toward a new machine!

In this class, you will learn all the techniques needed to complete a quilt: choosing fabrics, rotary cutting, piecing, borders, quilting, and binding. Cost is $60 plus book and supplies. Please don’t buy anything, except the book, until after the first class—we will go over all the supplies for quilting. The course is 6 classes.

Paper Piecing

One of the most requested classes! Paper piecing in not scary, it’s actually A LOT of fun! This workshop is designed for all skill levels. We will practice a few different techniques so you will have the knowledge and confidence to choose and tackle your own pattern.

Braid in a Day Quilt

Tuscany Tote

Smocking 101

Trish will teach the basics of Smocking, techniques you can use to create smocked clothing and crafts. We will be learning the basics including "blocking" basic stitches, back smocking, tying off and reading a pattern. This is a great technique class!

Get to Know Your Serger 101

There are a lot of sergers sitting lonely in the back of dark closets… It’s so sad! Dig them out and learn how much fun a serger is in the light of the day! Interested in learning to use a long arm? Why not learn how to use ours? We have training classes which we enable you to rent our Avante. One session will have your ready for your first quilt!!

Bernina Guide Classes

Now that you have an amazing machine, it's time to complete training for your Bernina! These classes are available at no cost for all new and used Bernina machines purchased from Patchwork Plus. If you need a class repeated, there is a $20 fee for each level. A 166 page workbook for all of the machines is available for $25. The same workbook is available on a CD for $5. Please let us know before class so that we can have a copy for you.

Level 1 must be taken before proceeding to the other levels. The only exception will be if you have previously owned a similar Bernina sewing machine. Bring your machine, all accessories, books, thread, scissors, pen, and paper to class. Registration is necessary. After Level 1 and Level 2 are completed, you will be scheduled for embroidery and software classes if applicable.

All classes are taught by Bernina Certified and trained instructors. Remember, not all sewing machine training is the same. Our strength is our educational program. We encourage you to take both levels. If your Bernina was purchased elsewhere, call us for pricing (value $20 per hour).
